Poverty

February 7, 2024

Poverty serves as a mechanism for the ruling class to control class mobility. By eliminating social safety nets, the working class is compelled to submit to the demands of the ruling class.

As tools and technology advance, the effort required to generate value diminishes. In the United States, this has translated to record profits for the ruling class and increased unemployment for the working class.

It is time for the working class to remember: we are the 99%. The ruling class only exist because we enable it.

Human history is rife with violence. In the Bible, murder is the second sin. Throughout history when the king would abuse his power, the people would kill him. While some countries may still operate this way, the United States has established that violence is not the solution.

Addressing poverty in the United States will require a multifaceted approach that begins when we reunite ourselves as Americans. You are not your political party, your skin color, or your income; you are an American, just like your neighbor.

We must also reach a consensus on what it means to be liberated from poverty. Access to healthy food, potable water, clean air, safe housing, quality education, and affordable healthcare at all times. In the United States, roughly 60% of Americans are one paycheck away from homelessness.
Thank you.
